Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the WarpedBed Pet Tag service (the "Service") — an NFC pet tag and an optional hosted lost-pet information page at pets.warpedbed.com, operated by the owner of WarpedBed ("WarpedBed," "we," "us"). By purchasing a tag, programming a page, or using a page, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1.1 What the Service is — and is not

The Service displays information you choose to provide on a web page that opens when someone scans your tag, to help a finder contact you about your pet.

• The Service is NOT GPS tracking. It does not track, locate, or monitor your pet or its location. An NFC tag does nothing until a person physically scans it.
• The Service does NOT guarantee that your pet will be found or returned. It is a passive information page. Recovery depends on a finder choosing to scan the tag and contact you.
• The Service is provided to assist, not to replace, responsible pet ownership (licensing, microchipping, supervision).

1.2 Your content and accuracy

You are solely responsible for the information you publish (pet details, contact methods, instructions, photos). You agree that it is accurate, that you have the right to publish it, and that you will keep it up to date. We do not verify your information.

1.3 Acceptable use

You will not use the Service to publish or transmit content that is unlawful, false, misleading, harassing, threatening, infringing, or that contains another person's personal information without their consent. You will not attempt to access pages, tokens, or data that are not yours, scrape or harvest data, probe or interfere with the Service, or use it for any purpose other than the lost-pet purpose intended.

1.4 Public visibility

An active page is publicly accessible to anyone who scans your tag or has its link, and contact options you enable are shown to finders (through a contact relay and a basic anti-abuse check). Do not publish anything you are not comfortable showing to a stranger, including your home address.

1.5 Your edit link

For editable pages, your private edit link is the key to your page — anyone who has it can edit your page. Keep it private. We can rotate (replace) it on request, which permanently disables the old link.

1.6 Availability, changes, and discontinuation

We aim to keep hosted pages available for as long as we operate the Service, but we do not promise perpetual availability. We may modify, suspend, deactivate, or discontinue the Service or any page, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, including for maintenance, abuse, legal reasons, or if we cease offering the Service. We are not liable for any unavailability, data loss, or for a page being inaccessible at any given moment.

1.7 Deactivation and termination

We may deactivate or remove any page that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being misused. You may request deactivation or deletion of your page at any time (see Privacy). A deactivated page shows a neutral "inactive" message and no pet details.

1.8 Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT IT WILL RESULT IN THE RECOVERY OF ANY PET.

1.9 Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WarpedBed AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF A PET, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, LOST DATA, OR LOST PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE TAG OR PAGE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

1.10 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WarpedBed from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of the information you publish, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

1.11 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Spokane County, Washington, and you consent to that venue.

1.12 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
