Privacy Policy
WarpedBed Pet Tag Service · Effective July 1, 2026
This Policy explains how WarpedBed ("we") handles information for the WarpedBed Pet Tag service at pets.warpedbed.com.
2.1 Information we collect
- Pet page information you provide: pet name, pet type, optional photo, a contact name, phone and/or email, return instructions, emergency notes, optional vet note, and your display preferences.
- An order reference to link a page to your purchase, where applicable.
- Limited technical data needed to operate and protect the Service (e.g., to apply rate limits and an anti-abuse check). We do not run advertising trackers on pet pages.
2.2 How we use it
We use your information only to operate the Service: to display your chosen lost-pet information to a finder, to let a finder contact you, to let you edit your page, to prevent abuse, and to provide support.
2.3 What is public, and what is not
- Public (to anyone who scans your tag or has the link, while the page is active): the pet name, pet type, optional photo, return instructions, emergency notes, and the contact option(s) you enable — revealed to a finder after a basic anti-abuse check.
- Not public: any internal/admin notes, your order reference, internal identifiers, and your private edit link. We do not publish your home address unless you choose to put it in your own return instructions (we recommend you don't).
- Contact relay: where possible, a finder reaches you through a relay so your real contact details are not posted on the page.
2.4 How we protect it
- Sensitive fields (such as your phone, email, and notes) are encrypted at rest using a key held separately from the database, so a copy of the database alone does not reveal them.
- Your private edit link is stored only as a one-way hash, never in usable form.
- The Service runs on a separate system from the WarpedBed store, with restricted access and audit logging of administrative actions.
- No security is perfect; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
2.5 Sharing
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service (e.g., our hosting/infrastructure and email providers, and, if you use a masked phone relay, the telephony provider), and only as needed to operate it, or where required by law.
2.6 Retention and deletion
We keep your page information for as long as your page exists and the Service operates. You can request deletion at any time by using your edit page (where available) or by contacting [email protected]; we will delete the page, its photo, and associated contact data. We may retain minimal records as required by law or to resolve disputes.
2.7 Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., under GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. To exercise any right, contact [email protected]. Editable-page customers can also view and update most of their information directly via their edit link or account.
2.8 Children
The Service is for pet owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
2.9 International users
The Service is operated from the United States and information is processed on infrastructure that may be located in the US and other regions. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed in the US.
2.10 Changes and contact
We may update this Policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions or requests: [email protected].
